The Uganda Laser Open is the most prestigious event on the VNSC sailing calendar. It has been sailed since 1985, and has brought sailors from all over the world at the VNSC to the shores of Lake Victoria. The largest fleet ever assembled for an ULO was in 2003, when 52 boats reported at the start. While in the top of the fleet the sailing is as good and fierce as anywhere else in the world, the regatta is fun and a great learning experience for beginners as well.
Imamu was the 1st Radial boy with a position of 18th overall out of 37 sailors in total. He enjoyed the experience very much.
Imamu has been chosen by TSAA to represent Tanzania for the first time in the Laser Youth Sailing World Championships in July. We pray that Imamu will get a full sponsorship so he is able to participate this year. http://www.isafyouthworlds.com/home.php
