Ever heard of Vikingarränet?
Ice Skating for 80km on natural ice in Sweden.
16th February 2014
You may recall Rich recently cycled from UK to Morocco, raising funds for Orlando Rogers Foundation. During that cycle ride he was dared to enter this annual Swedish ice skating race. He accepted the challenge of the dare. Being the man he is, he could hardly say no. He wasn’t going to do it as a charity thing until he remembered that the last time he went ice-skating was with Orlando last century. The lads went Christmas shopping and popped into Plymouth Pavilions; highlights of the day were Orlando’s Rab C Nesbit type vest that he wore whilst ice-skating and Rich being taken into the security office for carrying a BB Gun.
Preparation for the ice skating has to date involved eating bacon sandwiches and doing night security at a solar-panel farm somewhere outside of Bristol.
We don’t know how long it will take him, but we know he will finish even if it is crawling across the finish line.

Times are hard, we know, but a registered charity needs to constantly endeavor to raise funds. Our charity is only small, but we do make a positive difference to others. If you can help to encourage this crazy guy Richard then please do visit his Virgin Money fundraising page – doesn’t matter however small the sponsorship amount – it all helps. Thanks.
