Enormous thanks to everybody who contributed in any way to yesterday’s Orlando Rogers Rugby Match. The organisers, the sponsors:- The Cary Arms, Mainline Fancy Dress, Bombay Express Torquay, Enterprise rent-a-car, and of course the Torquay Rugby Club; the players (in their brilliant and imaginatively designed shirts), the supporters and all the friends, family and locals who made such a great event happen so successfully. There’ll be aches and pains and loss of voice, some broken or cracked ribs and a few sutures and hangovers. The counterbalance being the fantastic atmosphere, the beautiful fine and sunny weather, lots of fun and a huge amount of funds raised for Orlando Rogers Foundation. People came from all over the world (Columbia, Qatar, Australia and – help me here – where else) too, making such a special effort to attend this memorable tribute event. Truly wonderful.
