The organisers are making great progress with this but would still be pleased to hear from any potential sponsors and would be glad to receive items donated to auction or raffle on the big day. The annual main event of the charity this year so do come along and show your support and watch the match.
As some of you may or may not be aware, there is an Orlando Rogers Memorial Rugby Match planned for Boxing Day 2013, to be held at Torquay Athletic Rugby Club.
Fittingly, the Memorial Match will coincide with the annual Old Grammarians Boxing Day fixture, and also a 10 year South Africa Tour Reunion of which Orland was an integral part of.
To help in the success of the day there are a few ways in which everyone can contribute. Firstly, we need to get as many people to attend as possible.
Please invite as many people to join the FB group as you can, as it would be great to see as many people as possible from the many different walks of Orlando’s life. This will not only mean a great deal to Orlando’s family, but will also help us in achieving one of the main goals for the day; raising money for the Orlando Rogers Foundation. The more people who attend, the more money we can raise.
In addition to a collection on the day, there will be an auction of sporting memorabilia and other items. The collection of these prizes has already begun (in fact the first prize donated was from a well know England World Cup winning fly half). If anyone would like to donate any prizes for the auction, these can be posted to:
